This could be fun. If I do it will definitely be a project I self edit and self publish. Maybe put it out there before my debut novel on October 2nd.
Yeah, this could work. This is going to be fun.
Let's talk this out. If I write for 10 hours on Tuesday and write 2,000 words every hour that will work. But of course things rarely go according to plan so it would be best to work some wiggle room into this.
If I wake up by 9 and give myself until 9:30 to actually start writing I can knock out 1,000 words by 10, which will bring up my total to 6,000 words. (19,000 words left.)
I would aim for 4,000 more words before lunch (15,000 words left) around noon. I could then aim for 5,000 words by 3:00 (10,000 words left.) I have done 10,000 words in a day before so I could recharge here with caffeine.
I would then have to knock out over 3,000 words before my next break because if I can get into the 6,000s (even if it's just 6,800) then I will have some new confidence and energy to keep going. 7000 words is an interesting turning point. Over by 100 can seem overwhelming, under by 100 can feel like smooth sailing.
Assuming I reach 6,800 words left by 6:00, my next goal will be reach 3,000 words (just a hair over my usual daily goal). I can give myself a break for dinner and maybe even watch a television show at this point. Then I aim for 2,000 words before my next break (but I allow myself to stop at 1,500 words if I start to hit a wall.)
I can take a bit of time and knock out 500 words in an active break.
From there I have the rest of the night to write the remaining 1,000 words.
I can do this.
It will be tough but I can do it.
